FAQ

When is the best time to see lavender in bloom? Mid-June to early July is peak for our large hybrid varieties. English lavender can bloom earlier and later depending on the weather.

What types of lavender do you grow? We have both hybrid lavender and English Lavender. Our hybrids are Sensational, Phenomenal, and Exceptional. Our English are Tucker’s Early Purple, Princess Blue, Miss Kathrine (a pale pink), Hidcote, and Big Time Blue. We also have a set of another random English variety, but are not aware of the name.

When do your other flowers bloom? Depending on the weather our wildflowers start blooming early June to mid June and continue until October. Zinnias start late June/early July and continue until late September. Sunflowers for photos planted by Stella Farms bloomed mid July for our 2024 season. For cut your own we had them available in August in 2024, but hoping to have them available in September this coming season instead. We will be planting snapdragons for the first time this season and will update the bloom time once planted. Our daffodils and cherry blossoms bloom in April, but are still small at this point.

Do you sell products? Yes, we sell fresh lavender bouquets in season. We also have dried lavender bouquets, lavender sachets, lavender smudge sticks, lavender decorative brooms, other fresh flowers when in bloom, honey produced from our flowers from our bee man, t-shirts, nature inspired jewelry and accessories, seasonal items, stickers, notebooks, bookmarks, etc. We will also have baked goods from Nonna Stella’s cottage bakery including lavender shortbread cookies, lavender sugar, biscottis, and more.

Do you have anything for children? Yes, we have a play house and a small slide. We are looking to expand our kid’s area in the future.

Do you use organic farming practices? We keep our lavender free from sprays and chemicals. We also opt to not use any sprays on our other flowers if possible. The 2024 season was kind to us and we didn’t use any pesticides or other nonorganic practices.

Can I bring my dog? Yes, you may bring your dog as long as it is on a leash and well behaved. Just please don’t let your dog eat any of the flowers nor tinkle on the lavender. Also we ask you to cleanup after your dog.

Can I take photos? You may take photos for personal use when you pay for general admission. Professional photography is not allowed during regular business hours and must be booked by appointment for a separate price. Please check our photography tab for more info.

Is the big green barn available for events? Sorry, but the barn is technically not part of the farm and is for family storage. But it can be used for an excellent photo backdrop.
